Yeah I think with one of mine I was a slight DIK with neutral affinity, and was able to date her. But I didn't fuck Bella, and I didn't punch Tybalt when I had the chance.I mean you can be a dik after being with her
To be fair, Rusty got made President just because his dad got them stuff, so it seems like that's the way DIKs do it...

Just going to add to that, just because someone's relative got them the stuff doesn't take away what the MC has done.
Neil got them furniture and etc, sure they are discounted and used up, but its furniture. And guess who is neil related to? Is he related to rusty, jacob... nick?! fuck no if it wasn't for the MC asking his dad for that favor, none of the diks would have furniture. Even Nick would not have his fucking fish.
Remember Rusty got cut off at that occasion by his dad, so the diks needed to come up with something, hell they don't even know how to fundraise LOL
And yes, he can fail it but that would be the worst occasion and I can guarantee you nobody is going for that worst occasion.
I will say its canon to pass that minigame to anybody's save.
And before we argue with what's canon and what's not, it just depends on your playthrough in terms of canon.

I was always "agains" DPC on this and not against you personaly. thats why I call this lazy by dev. one decision (not go on date) ruin ALL relationships? sound stupid. DPC just want make you choose for some reason (like you not make a choice in ep8) and make it most dumb way.Now I'm not sure I can make the case for this any better, so if you're still in disagreement then you'll just have to take it up with DPC. I'm sure he'll greatly appreciate any feedback on the matter you have.
